literally means the wholeness of Christ the wholeness of scripture bleeding into the wholeness of my life. Every aspect of my life every moment of my life every second of my life in front of everyone or in the closet where only God can see. Allowing the penetration of the gospel to penetrate the darkest deepest parts of my heart. Including the areas of pride that I don’t want God to touch. To erase the sins but not the scars of the evil I have done against him and him alone. To correct where I am worldly so it does not show the world but only Christ and Christ alone.

The Tree

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
Psalm 1:3 ESV

We think of trees as true and pure. They are strong and beautiful grant us cover in the heat of the day, and shield us from a cool rain in late spring. Trees are what gives us breath, they take the bad part of our air and turn it into what we are able to breath.

While our Lord walked this earth he came upon a fig tree that did not produce a fig and he cursed it never to produce again (Mark 11:12-25). And to me this one scares me a little. So this fig tree did not produce for Christ when it was out of season, but Jesus still curses it. Why? Yes, he was warning the people of his time of what was to come. What are then to take from it?

We come into seasons of life and we are to be ready and willing to produce fruit. You ever get tugged by the Holy Ghost and blow it off? Do you ever get shoved by the Holy Spirit and say no? I have the problems will come if we deny that to many times. If we allow sin to over take us. Yes, disobedience is a sin just as much as lieing and adultery are. Remember revelation says as for the cowardly, the faithless, the destable, as for the murderers, the sexually immoral, their will be the lake of fire (Rev 21:8). Yes this says the cowardly along with sexually immoral.

Are we the tree that produces fruit in season? I know I have failed and made decisions that have taken me away from where I thought I should be. When I come to the mighty thrown to see Christ face to face where he wanted me and where I end up will be a massive short fall on my end, as I am sure for many of you as well.

There are two young men living a life in the pit of hell because I did not listen to the nudge of the Holy Spirit man years ago. I have place my roots next to the living waters and I pray that I will produce the fruit of Christ when he calls upon me once again. Let us not be overtaken by fear, rejection, cowardliness. Let us have a Spirt of power and truth and boldness. This is my prayer for you.

Be blessed ūüôĆ

Are We Living Two Lives?

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
James 4:8

Just the other day I had an old and I mean past life old friend of mine send me a message. He asked me if I was living two lives. Part of his message was a picture of this guy already in prison but had taken the lives of two men in prison for something they had done. This picture is what grabbed my attention honestly. Same beard and bold head.  Skin coloring was similar and style of the face was scary honestly. There were differences though because you could see that tattoos that covered part of his bald head.

Then God pressed into me a gut check moment. What difference is there between myself and the man in the picture? Oh yeah he is in jail and I am not. I might be ugly but dang he’s got me beat by a long shot. I have never killed anyone, I have stayed in a jail longer than 1 night, let alone life in a max prison in Southern California.

No, God said not with your eyes but mine. There is no difference between that man in the picture and myself. You see God does not judge our clothes our looks shoot he knew what we would like like before the beginning of time. Why would he judge us if he created us. So if he won’t judge us based on looks we shouldn’t judge ourselves.

God looks to our hearts not our appearance. That why David cried out when Nathaniel called him out for the adultry with Bathsheba. David cried out “Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:9‭, ‬11‭-‬12

It’s about our heart. So are we living two lives? Yes, because we are not giving everything to him. We want things are way on our terms. Not God’s but ours we have our hidden sin as well. Nope no one knows about it, and no one will so it is mine my sin. But what we don’t realize is we don’t own our sin… our sin owns us.

Double-mindedness is we speak with our tongues the very word of God but yet out of the same mouth come curse word and evil tongues come from an evil heart. So how can something good and holsom come out of the same mouth as a curse word or sing the vulgarity of the songs we listen to?

We are either all Christ or all worldly. We cannot be both. That is why Joshua said chose you this that whom you shall serve, but my family will serve the Lord. Or how about God himself said that you were neither cold nor hot so I spit you out.

How much longer will we live these two lives? How much longer are we going to allow the devil and this world to keep us blinded? How much longer till you finally walk in the freedom Christ died for.

Jesus told us to pick up our cross and chase after him (Luke 9:23) it’s time to start picking up our cross everyday and every moment of every day. Even and especially when we are alone in our closets. Just because we believe it’s hidden doesn’t mean that it is.

Are we watching?

Colossians 4:2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

When I was digging into Colossians I read this and the words of Christ Jesus came to me when he stated in Matthew 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Are we living in those times? Are we so blind as to not see the things that are happening around us or have we become numb to the birth pains (Matthew 24:8)?

Before we are able to see, the first part we must tackle is our prayer life. I am preaching to the choir here, so when I strike a chord it is mine as well. How are we able to tell there is something wrong with our spouse or are friend without talking to them? Are we able to look at them and determine “yep their moving” or “their spouse just committed adulatory” There is no possible way that we could without talking to them. But yet we believe that we are able to see the world around us without speaking to the one who is controlling the world around us. How can we see God moving without being in communication with Christ Jesus? How do we know if we committed adulatory toward God when we placed that idol before him, unless we are in communication with God. When we are in perfect harmony with our spouse it is when we are communicating the best. The same goes with God. There is no relationship without communication. We were gifted this ability to communicate one on one with our creator the moment the veil was torn. Our prayer life is essential and without it we are the blind leading the blind. Yes, we have His holy word, but have you ever read it without the Holy Spirit guiding you? Again, the blind leading the blind.

Now are we being watchful in our prayer? Maybe its just me but I am feeling this burden like I have never felt before. Are we seeing or are we praying with a watchful eye on the things happening in the world? I have always felt that God has placed me here to be a watchman. Am I a prophet? No, I do not claim to be and will not claim to be. We must be in prayer over the times that we are in. We must have our eyes to the world praying for the world. The reason are world is in this place is because for decades now the church turned its eyes from the world to the inside the walls of the church. If you know history then you know the world goes as the church goes, and not the other way around. For me I am the watcher for my family, and it plays a tole on me no doubt.

When we are watching in prayer we should be seeing the world with thanksgiving and not fear. When the shelves run empty we should be giving thanks and not scrambling in fear. Our churches should be the ones gathering food for the helpless, putting the widows in a cooled atmosphere out of the heated summer. When the one to protect our nation turns its back on its people it is the church that needs to stand in and protect its people. What are you doing to prepare for the time that is coming?

Are we all right now, every child of God on our knees praying that his grace fall upon on nation one more time? Is every child of the Most High crying out to our maker have mercy on your church one more time? Are we praying for our children that they do not have to go through what might be coming down the road?

What pains me and breaks me is the Mighty one the Creator the one that has given us breath has been trying to get our attention. He has been trying to wake his Church. He has been saying get on your knees before it is to late. My friends I am afraid that it might be to late. I sit in tears because we have not woken up, that we are moving and walking and carrying on just like in the times of Noah. My brothers and sisters let us reach out passed the walls of church, past the veil that separates His children and the secular world. Remove those walls we have placed up and let them see into the Holy of Holies.

For they know will know you are my disciples by your love (John 13:35).

The bride that Christ died for needs to stand. The only way the church can stand is if His children are on their knees.

The Real Battle We all Face

2 Corinthians 10:5

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.

If you have ever ran track you know that it is more than just running. Some say the mental battle is close to 75% of the running. I say this because yesterday at track practice two of my athletes started crying saying they could not do, what I was asking them to do. These two specific athletes had a bad outing last track meet, and the devil was taking over their thought process. I can’t do this, we will fail, we are not good enough. Does this sound familiar?

Let us go further than surface level though. Have you noticed how the thoughts are getting more often, stronger, and maybe even darker than they ever have? One of my girls the one that will be starting our relay, had a false start last week. And, let me tell you how that plays with your mind. So, what does the devil do? He throws it in your face, and next thing you know you are falling on your face in front of 100’s people.

For me, its darker and harder to fight because he flashes in my head the fun times I had before I was saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. The vile and disgusting things that I used to chase, the fleshy desires that we hide in our closets. Those scenarios that he bombardes are minds with over and over, then thoughts of your not saved, you really haven’t changed. If you were saved then why would those thoughts even come into your mind? Or, the rage seems to come into your heart again, you know that rage we would change to feel high because it meant we had power? Or, we walk into a gas station by the beer section and you turn around without thinking and there is a beer in your hand? You start chasing pictures on Facebook and next thing you know you are on some dark vile website.

The bad part and I believe where we fail is at the initial point of the thought process. We allow the simple thought to creep into our minds, and then our own minds take it and run with it. Our own mind is was twists and contorts the thoughts not the devil. The devil only has to plant the seed, and we allow it to ferment, and then the weeds take over our mind. Once the thought takes over our minds we end up in complete darkness, not wanting to get out of bed. The depression at times locks us down so tight and dark we can’t move. Other times we are trying to perform something to the best of our ability. The first time it might not go as we planned, so we shut down and call it a failure, then see us in that failure.

My pastor Chad Geeslin said it this weekend, and it struck me because we never do it. Well at least I don’t ever do it. We do not stay in the victories that God brings us long enough. What happens is we tend to live in our failures but not our victories. That is where the devil can latch onto us and lock us down, but when we bast in God, and realize the victories he has brought us we can see that we have already conquered the failure we are being trapped in. When our anxiety starts to take over it is because of something from our past. We latch onto the failures and see it again and again in the future. This can be based in rejection, bitterness, sadness, or so many other emotions that drive us into that anxiety.

So what we must do is conquer it with the truths and promises of God. Back to my athletes real quick. One of my girls that was crying was saying that she can’t because she isn’t fast enough, when I have clocked her faster than anyone else on our team. She can do it why? Because she has done it. My other girl, the one that is starting the relay is claiming she can’t because of the false start two weeks ago. But she is not taking into account the other 20 starts she had with no issues. We get trapped in the what ifs based on failures, instead of seeing the victories we have already had.

We must stop the bleeding before it gets to bad. We must take every thought captive and ask is this of God? Is this thought producing something from God or attributing to God’s Glory? If not then fight it with a truth or promise from God’s word in order to do this we must slow down our minds. Not matter what we bask in the victories God has brough into are lives and Paul said it best in Philippians 3:13¬†Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do:¬†forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,¬†14¬†I press on toward the goal for¬†the prize of the upward¬†call of God in Christ Jesus.

We all fight this daily battle some harder and darker than others. I know my demons from my past can get dark and loud at times. Let us lean on our brothers and sisters in Christ, and know that you are not alone. Even though the devil tells you that you are I PROMISE you are not alone.

We got this!

Many blessings till next week.

Do We Bear the Marks of Christ?

From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
Galatians 6:17 ESV

From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
Galatians 6:17 ESV

This verse struck my cords deep with in me. I have read it over and over again pondering my life, while looking at the life of Paul. Now I am no means the Apostle Paul, none of us are or ever will be. As in scripture when we study it, we are to look at it in different perspectives. Who and when is God speaking to in this passage, then what does it mean to us today.

Paul at this time was in prison. He had years of traveling and evangelism. He also had years of beatings, stoning, hardships that you and I could not imagine. The good thing and by the grace of God we don’t have to. Saints before us have paved the way, they were hung on crosses and burned as candles so we can live the life we have. We are blessed beyond reasoning, but yet so we bear the marks of Christ?

I look at this and I am undone. I am nowhere deserving of the marks of Christ as Paul had. I am not sure I could take the lashings, or the beatings as Paul did. My faith I believe lacks in that department. God knows though I will die for him, I will not fail in this race.

I look at Paul who preached the Gospel everywhere he went, and was hunted down. Paul was hated by the gentiles and the jews. The cross is offensive to the world, and Paul knew the cost he would bear. He knew chains awaited him in Jerusalem but yet he still went. This to me is a mark many of us here in the West will soon bear. As the church’s voice gets louder and more pure in its boldness persecution will come. Will we be seeked out by authorities?

Paul was known to be argumentive at times. He pressed into the worldly views and man made religious laws. But he did it with love and grace. Paul started in the synagogue then worked his was to the streets. His life was marked by the cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was the name he preached that made Paul the enemy. Christ crucified was it, and the cross that Paul bore everyday.

The marks of Christ in our lives, should be seen by all. When we have scars those scars have stories. And we tell those stories with passion and vigor. But yet we hold back on the cross and the redemption he has done in our lives. Oh how beautiful is the healing of those scars. How glorious is the hearts made whole, the marriages renewed, the shattered minds pieced back together. These are the marks of Christ. This is the mark of Jesus in out lives that people see.

Let us bear the marks of Christ proudly and boldly. For the Apostle Paul said it best “far be it for me to boast except in the cross of Jesus Christ”. (Galatians 6:14)

Blessing till next week

Building the Broken

For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. Galatians 2:13 ESV

We live in this circle of life build up tear down, build up tear down. And we chase God in between these seasons of life. This year has already started off crazier than the last two if you ask me. And as I sit and watch the church our friends all I see is us trying to put back together what use to be.

I was talking to my beautiful amazing wife about my prayer life the other day, and I have made this comment many times. That the months leading up to fathers death my prayer life was insane. The empathy for the ones I prayed for, the closeness I felt to God. I crave that prayer life once again.

Now bare with me I know what the scripture is speaking of for all you theologians. But, this is where God is taking me.

We see God more in our lives and when that season passes we want to be there again. Our we sinners for wanting to create something that has already happened? If God has moved you past it, why do we want to rebuild it? If you saw someone else build something and God blessed them why do you want to build it? It’s not yours to build but God’s to build.

I wanted my prayer life to be the same that is was before my father’s passing. In order for that to happen I would have to still be the same person I was then. God has changed me God has purified me grown me. Why do I want to build up walls that God already used then tore down? We have been there grown from it why would we want to revert back to our old ways?

For the church God tried to wake us up and grow us from what we used to be. Covid hit we seeked him and we went back to what we were. Riots struck and partisan lines grew and we went back to what we were. Now the birth pains are getting closer. The pains are getting stronger. Why do we keep trying to rebuild what God is moving us from?

It is time to build something new. It is time for man the church and the religious to sit back remove our hands and say God. Not our will but yours. We no longer want what we have been doing because we broke it and it’s in pieces. Lord purify it Lord cleanse it. Lord build it. Lord Jesus wake us protect us open our eyes to see what your building. How you Lord our building the church. A pure church were the broken is made new and not the old. Where there is no color where there is no race but only the cross. Jesus come come with the breathe of Life so the dead will wake.

It is by Christ and Christ alone we shall be saved. Let us not build what use to be the sinful the shame. But let us build what God wants us to build without shame without bitterness and pride. If we seek first his kingdom.. let us all not seek law or gifts, let us not seek the things of this world but let us truly truly with ever once of our souls seek Christ and Christ alone. This world would see a revival that it has never seen the likes of.

It is time..

Many blessings till next time.

Do We Really Believe?

2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[ The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

I will never forgot when I first got saved and how on fire I was, but just as important how bold I was. I ask this question for us to dig into our own belief as I am digging into mine. It is so easy to say yes I believe as we look at the majesty of the night sky, or hear the roaring of the ocean waves hitting the beach. How can you deny the creator when you are driving through the Cimarron pass in New Mexico? We see his handy work when life is new on the farm, or our first child is placed into our hands. We can grasp the heaviness of creation that the almighty God has given us. We read the bible and we see his creation and so we know it is true.

The problem lies within ourselves, yes God has made beauty and breathed life. Yet, I am still me and that will not change. You know the older we get the harder it is for some of us to truly believe that we are a new creation. It is easy for us to believe when we first get saved. We believed then that our sins have washed away, we believed then that we were free and free indeed. We took everything in the Bible as truth, and placed it in our hearts forever.

So, as our Christian walk started with a fire why has it become a flickering candle? What has happened within us to become a smoldering fire? Is this our own doing? How can I believe I am a new creation, how can I show that I am a new creation when all I do is fail? We get stuck in the ruts of life and start digging ourselves out. Then we finally stop to gather our breath and realize the mass failure we have caused while digging out. We look back on our walk and many of us myself included see a muddied walk filled by worldly desires. Our path tends to be more crooked then straight.

We see our paths from our eyes staring at our past. When we are watching our past the lies of the devil seem to be louder than the still voice of God. I have said it before and I will say it again. Through Christ we have been given victory over death and sin and “the devil knows he cannot take away that victory but he will never allow you to walk in the fullness of that victory”. So he inundates us with lies of who we are or what we have done. Yes the sins that we have committed are scarred on our souls forever. Our Lord has promised us forgiveness of those sins, but never to remove the memory of those sins. So, the devil takes those memories and uses them to shackle us back up to our past. We tend to be tied to it instead of growing from it.

One thing that I have realized over the last year is this. Just because I say I am a minister of the gospel saved by the blood of Christ with his grace and mercy poured out over my life. This does not mean I will not fail or fall into a temptation. My flesh is weak and I know the protections and walls I have to put up around me to be able to stand strong. The protections and walls come from God. His word that sometimes the devil will place doubt into. And that is what he did with Jesus so don’t think he won’t do that with you.

We must realize that if we don’t believe one thing in the bible we don’t believe the bible at all. Are we a new creation? Yes, yes we are a new creation. What it is though is our perspective. We fail and we fall daily so the devil says look at what you did you are not saved you are not of Christ. How could a “Christian” act like that. But, Jesus says look where I brought you from. Look what I did for you on the Cross. Jesus says I died for you to wash away the sins as far as the East is from the West. Are you a knew creation? Yes you are everyday you pick up your cross and follow Christ. Remember this even Jesus Christ himself fell carrying his cross, and so will you. And Just as Jesus finished what he was sent to do, so will you. No matter what brothers and sisters stand strong, keep the faith, and be bold. No matter what you have done in your past, it will not hinder the gravity of the cross and what Jesus did for you and me.

Many Blessings

Purity of simplicity

For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God.     2 Corinthians 1:12 ESV

How have we gotten where we are today? As watered down the Gospel has become to the secular world I feel inside the church it has become more complicated. Armenians vs Calvinist and Reformed vs everyone. Baptism of babies or not, open heaven or closed. We as the church of Jesus Christ fight over the gifts that the power of the Holy Spirit has given us. Tongues no tongues, prophets no such thing as a prophet oh unless your meaning edifying or decernment. We as human sinners have jumble up the doctrine and in doing so has quieted our voice to the world.

Jesus tells us in Matthew that only the pure of heart will see God. That means pure of heart. No bias no agenda but a purity that matches that of Christ. But, if we come with an agenda other than that of the Kingdom of God we are only trying to advance our pride. Our pride in our beliefs or belief system is the very downfall of the church.

The very simplicity of the Gospel is where and only what we are to boast. The sad part is I bet 80% of our church today cannot even say what the Gospel is. So, if we as Christians cannot describe the very Gospel that saved our souls then how can we truly fulfill the great commission Matthew 28:19-20?

For me this is the fault of the pulpit and the student. This can most certainly fall under the lack of discipleship we have in the church today. And, if there is discipleship then most of us myself included don’t realize we are being discipled.

We must put down our pride, put the bias of our beliefs at the foot of the Cross. If we want God to use us and truly for the Kingdom to advance then it must be His way and not ours. If we can’t love our brother in the Church across town, then how can the world know the love Christ gave us? The Gospel is simple and we must keep it simple. 1 Cor 15-3-5 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. This is the Gospel.

Jesus said we are to Love God with all our heart and to Love our neighbor as our self. We have allowed the devil into the church and to separate us for centuries now. We are one church with one God by one Spirit brought to us by the blood of one Jesus Christ. Let us quit mudding down the gospel for mud is harder to see through than water.

The Little White Church

16 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16

Right at 2 years ago just before Covvid gripped our nation God gave me a dream. I have told this dream to a few but this is the first time I am blasting it out. In my dream I saw this massive flood of people this majestically beautiful revival. Peoples eyes were being opened, souls were coming to Christ. The beauty of this wave, the size and magnitude of the tide is so hard to explain. The wave of people this size and this strong could only be brought on by God. And as the wave began to crash into its target I see this little white church come up out of the moving wave. The White church was so pure so steadfast that it did not move or change from the current and strength of tide. It was true and pure. The white was a pure white like I had never seen. As the wave was moving the Church stood still but it stood out and it stood strong. You see, as the wave got further away from the pure church it turned on the church. The few became the persecuted and the many where doing the persecution.

As I gripped on to this dream to deceiver it I went to my pastors and elders. And, as I prayed God revealed it to me over the last 2 years what it has meant. So many eyes have been opened over the last two years, and we see more eyes being opened daily. God is moving amongst this nation there is no doubt. And it is not just here but world wide. We see people standing up, and speaking out. and we are beginning to see the mocking as well. There is a coming of a time that the fence some of us are standing on will no longer hold us up.

We are called to be partakers in the blood of Christ not side line participants. Yes, we can skate into heaven by the skin of our teeth or we can grab ahold of the mercy horn dig deep and start fighting. I am not saying that everyone needs to find a pulpit to preach from. What I am saying is that everyone of us must hit our knees and start crying out to God. We started to we were so close when the vid first hit. The church hit its knees and we wept. I remember walking into the chapel at work blaring worship music and on my knees crying to the Most High God. What has happened to those people? We have lost track of why God placed us here. No not all of us but most of us.

It is time to put some more wood on the fire! It is time the prayer meeting at church has more in it then the Sunday service. It is time the Men of this country put down the pride and get on our knees of God’s alter and start crying out. Where are the Men of the Pure Church. The men that are called by God to be Holy and separate from the world? Where are the women crying out to God over their husbands? Where are the fighters that will speak up?

The church has been sitting quiet for way to long. I am not saying that we need to be loud mouths bible bullies. What I am saying is that we need to be voicing our beliefs and morals onto the world instead of the world forcing theirs on us. I have been praying for revival in my own heart. I have been asking God to pick and prod the evil that is still in me.

When the pure Church of Christ is forced to stand I want to be a participant in the blood of Christ and not just a by product of His sacrifice.

Many Blessings
